Franco Matias Di Santo (born 7 April 1989) is an Argentinian footballer who played for Chelsea F.C. from 2008 to 2010.

Chelsea careerEdit

On 25 January 2008, it was confirmed that Chelsea had signed Di Santo for an undisclosed fee on a four and a half year deal. However, the Argentine did not play for the Blues in the 2007-08 season.

On 31 August 2008, Di Santo made his full first team debut in a 1-1 draw with Tottenham, coming on as a late substitute for Nicolas Anelka. Di Santo made 16 appearances in his debut campaign, but wasn't on the scoresheet in any of those games.

On 3 August 2009, Di Santo was sent out on loan to Blackburn Rovers until February. The loan was later extended until June 2010. Di Santo was eventually let go on the 31 August 2010, with Wigan Athletic signing the Argentinian for a fee of around £2,000,000.
